Doosan’s foreign pitcher Brandon Waddell will soon join the team.
On December 12, Taiwanese media outlet Free Press reported, “Rakuten Monkeys pitcher Brandon has completed transfer fee negotiations with 토토사이트 Doosan. He will arrive in South Korea on the 16th.” A Doosan official also said, “Brandon’s contract process is almost finalized. He is scheduled to arrive on the 16th.”
Brandon is scheduled to start a Taiwanese baseball game on May 15 before flying to South Korea. As soon as Brandon’s work visa is issued, Doosan will schedule him to pitch in the KBO.
Doosan released Dillon, a foreign pitcher who was out for a long time due to injury, on Aug. 8. The decision was made to bring back Brandon, who played last year. Brandon, who pitched for Doosan last year as a replacement for Ariel Miranda, went 5-3 with a 3.60 ERA in 11 games.
After failing to re-sign with Doosan at the end of the season, Brandon signed with Rakuten in Taiwanese baseball. We could see Brandon on the mound in the KBO as early as late June.
Doosan has only Raul Alcantara in its starting rotation. The other starters have been in and out of the rotation due to poor performance or injury.
Fortunately, Kwak-Bin Kwak made a successful comeback on the 11th, and Choi Won-Joon is expected to return to the first team sometime this week. Add Brandon to the mix, and you’ve got a solid starting rotation.
