The San Diego Padres have dealt with the team’s oldest Nelson Cruz (43) as a DFA (transfer player).

San Diego announced a change in 안전놀이터순위 entry ahead of the “2023 Major League” LA Angels match held at Petco Park in San Diego, California on the 5th (Korea Standard Time).

What stands out is Cruise’s DFA. As the team’s oldest player, he batted .245 (35 hits in 143 at-bats) with five home runs and 23 RBIs (on-base percentage + slugging percentage) of 0.682 in 49 games this season. He was mainly in charge of designated hitters and was tasked with dealing with left-handed pitchers, but failed to avoid the blade of release.

San Diego manager Bob Melvin explained the lineup changes in an interview before the game. “(Cruise’s decision to go to the DFA) is definitely hard work. He has a lot of influence in the clubhouse and you can feel a lot of respect when you play against him. That’s what leadership is like,” he said.

Cruz had many advantages as a clubhouse leader, but there was definitely a reason why the team wanted to send him out. Coach Melvin said, “Now we need diversity in the lineup. With Matt Carpenter (38), there were basically two designated hitters. We need to give some players a break day, a substitute, etc. “I’m sorry that I need to be more versatile, but I made this decision,” he said.

Cruz is one of the big guns representing Major League Baseball. Since his debut in the big leagues in 2005, he has a career batting average of 0.274 (2,053 hits in 7501 at-bats), 464 home runs, 1,325 RBIs, and OPS of 0.856.

There have been many options since leaving the Washington Nationals last year, but he boarded a flight to San Diego in connection with AJ Freeler, head of San Diego, who was with the Texas Rangers from 2006 to 2013.

The team lacked right-handed hitters as off-season switch-hitter Josh Bell (31, Cleveland Guardians), right-handed hitters Will Myers (33, retired), and Brandon Drury (31, Los Angeles Angels) left, and Cruz was recruited as the right person to fill the position. However, this companion ended before the end of the first half.
