In his Major League Baseball (MLB) 메이저놀이터 debut in 2021, Kim Ha-seong (San Diego Padres) struggled to adjust to the fastballs of first-time pitchers. His batting average was barely above .200.

Trade speculation was rampant. San Diego was all ears.

But the Dodgers needed Kim after losing starting shortstop Ferdando Tatis Jr. to a season-ending injury. They slotted him in at shortstop and had fun.

But even before the season started, trade rumors were circulating, especially in the Boston Red Sox area, that Kim should be acquired. With second baseman Trevor Story injured, the Red Sox needed to use him as a “patchwork” player.

San Diego, in need of a pitcher, also flirted with Kim’s trade card.

However, San Diego decided to use him as a second baseman.

Since then, Kim has excelled at the plate and on defense. His WAR is first on the team. His defensive WAR is the best in MLB.

As a result, trade rumors have not been mentioned at all. At this point, it’s hard to imagine San Diego without him.

Even if a tempting offer came along, the Padres would likely keep him. Plus, the San Diego fan support for Kim is immense.

On the other hand, Cody Bellinger (Chicago Cubs) trade speculation continues.

With the Cubs’ chances of making the postseason dwindling, several teams are reportedly interested in Bellinger.

The San Diego Padres and New York Mets are among the teams reportedly interested in acquiring Bellinger.

In response, Bellinger’s agent, Scott Boras, issued a warning: “Don’t trade Bellinger.”

The former National League MVP left the Los Angeles Dodgers for the Cubs before this season.

He hopes to make a splash in free agency after his resurgence with the Cubs.
